Carrington Care offers a range of services including a retirement village, community care services, assisted living (hostel care), carers' respite service, a nursing home, and recreation facilities.

 

About the Opportunity

Carrington Centennial Care has a fantastic opportunity for an empathetic and dedicated Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join its welcoming team, on a permanent part time or casual basis.

You will effectively provide a high level of clinical services to residents.

Some of your more specific day-to-day duties will include:  

  • Effectively and positively leading the work team;
  • Providing quality, clinical care services to residents, planning and conducting group activities, and planning and monitoring service delivery plans;
  • Providing one-on-one on the job instruction or training small group sessions and providing coaching and feedback
  • Overseeing the safe and correct practices of medication management
  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of policies and care practices. 

Carrington offers flexible working arrangements for its staff and this role is working either: 

  • Saturday: 08:00am - 15:30pm
  • Saturday: 11:30am - 19:00pm
  • Sunday: 08:00am - 15:30pm

There is also a permanent part time shift available working in Grasmere Terrace, one of Carrington Centennial Care's high care facilities. The hours would be 56 hours per fortnight, working 9.00am to 5.30pm.

To be successful in this position you will need a Certificate IV Enrolled Nursing with Medical Endorsement as well as successful experience in the management and leadership of a clinical work team, preferably in the Aged Care industry and competence in medication management and administration.

You will have well developed communication skills in relation to liaison, conflict resolution and change management and be a committed individual with a focus on outstanding client care, backed by superior communication skills. You will be able to work under pressure, have the ability to meet deadlines and possess excellent time management skills.

In addition, you will have the ability to work unsupervised as part of a close knit team. A demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement principles, using initiative and creative problem solving is also important to this role.

The successful applicants will be rewarded with equivalent to NSW Public Hospital Nurses Award wage $22.47 - $24.42 per hour.

Generous salary packaging options, up to $16,050 pro rate per annum, are available for both positions with 100% of the benefit going to the employee. This salary packaging has the potential to significantly increase your take-home pay.
