About the Role
Brisbane South East Community Care has two part time Personal Care Worker positions available. The first position is for a qualified Personal Care Worker with a certificate III, the other is a domestic support worker role, assisting clients to maintain a clean and tidy home.
Working within our Community Sector, you will have a genuine desire to assist your clients and allow them to remain comfortable within their own home.
Your duties as a qualified PCW will include:
- Hygiene tasks as directed by the client and care plan;
- Food Preparation;
- Shopping Duties;
- Respite Care;
- Home support, assisting clients to maintain a clean and tidy home;
- The empowerment of clients to meet their social needs; and
- Role modeling positive healthy behaviours.
In the domestic role you will perform cleaning duties in accordance to set standards. Previous experience in a similar role is highly regarded but not essential.
To be successful in either position we require you to have:
- A current open Queensland drivers licence and good driving record;
- Access to your own vehicle;
- National Police Certificate; and
- Current first aid certificate.
For the qualified PCW role, you will be required to have a Certificate III in Aged Care or Home and Community Care.
To be successful you are required to hold and maintain a current National Police Certificate at your expense or be eligible to receive one prior to commencing.
You will work in a supportive team environment, have the opportunity to work with a diversity of clients.
